ANTHONY DEAN RINGER VERGENNES - Anthony Dean Ringer, 53, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 18, 1955 in Burlington. He attended VUHS and VTC. For the last 35 years, when he wasn't fishing, he was a printed circuit board designer at Goodrich in Vergennes. Tony will be remembered as a fun loving, practical joker, who was always willing to lend a hand and tell you what he really thought. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Wendy Cushman Ringer; his daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Damon Bungard of Burlington; his favorite son Jacob Ringer and friend Kristen Bissonette; his brothers Frederick and Mike of Essex; Patrick and his wife Patricia of Kendall Park, N.J.; his sister Mary Essex and her husband David of Ferrisburg and Luanne Mailloux and her husband Paul of Vergennes; motherin-law Evelyn Cushman; brothers and sisters-in-law Pat Ganson of Vergennes, Carolyn and John Allen of Charlotte, Margaret and Gary Schelley of Montpelier, Lynn and Julie Cushman of Washington, Fred Cushman of New Haven, Ken and Shayne Cushman of New Haven; Frances and Charles Simpson of Waltham, Elaine and Mathew Carrol of Mass.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucille (Patrie) Ringer and Frederick Charles Ringer and his father-in-law Kenneth Cushman and brother-inlaw Wayne Ganson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 15, at Brown- McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society, 121 Connor Way, Williston, VT 05495.
