These are the kind notes that friends and family posted on Tony's obituary Guest Book.  Thank you all for your support!

So very sorry for your loss.  Love and prayers are with you. Pat (Erin's Mom)

Lu-Anne & Paul Mailloux (Vergennes, VT)  December 13, 2008
Dear Lord and Mother Mary - Please grant my brother Tony entrance into Heaven to be reunited with you and our Ma and Pa.  Tony was a hardworking, good man with a smart, generous and compassionate heart.  Please watch over Wendy, Ashley & Damon, Jake and Kristen, and all of Tony's siblings and friends to help us through this very difficult time.  Amen.  P.S. Tony, we miss and love you and don't forget to save a place for all of us.

Lenny Ringer (Lebanon, PA)  December 13, 2008
My cousin Tony was always my buddy.  Although we lived far apart, I have good memories of him and his family from my childhood years when we made our annual pilgrimage to Vergennes.  I recall, on my last visit there, which was for the funeral of my Aunt Blanche, we stayed at his Dad's home and Tony came there especially to see my Dad and I.  It was a perfect gesture for a time that was filled with sorrow for the whole Ringer family.  And it is again with sorrow that I write this testimonial to Tony, my cousin and exceptional human being.  My sister and I, the last of our family here, want to extend our sympathy to Tony's family, and the rest of our beloved relatives, Ringer or otherwise.  God bless you all forever.

Sue Torrey (Panton, VT) December 13, 2008
Tony, you will always be in our hearts.  We'll never forget your laugh and practical jokes you liked to play.  You are now in the arms of your Mom and Dad.  RIP

BJ Carter (Middlebury, VT)  December 13, 2008
To the Ringer Family ~ So sorry for your loss.  Tony was one in a million that's for sure and he will be missed dearly.

Jean Arleen Breed (Crown Point, NY) December 13, 2008
Tony was such a good friend for so many years.  His great smile and wonderful laughter will be missed.  Ashley - I need a hug.

Jackie Cushman (Ferrisburgh, VT)  December 13, 2008
Wendy it is a terrible thing to lose someone you love.  Just wanted to let you know my heart goes out to you and the kids and I am thinking about you.  Tony was a good person that everyone liked.  May he find peace now.

Mary Torrey (Vergennes, VT)  December 14, 2008
I will miss Tony's smile and his way to make me laugh.  God now has him safe in his hands.  My prayers are with you, Wendy, Jake and Ashley.  All my love, Mary Torrey

Steve Brooks (Vergennes, VT)  December 14, 2008
Our hearts go out to Wendy, Ashley, Jake and all the family as we share in your sorrow.  Tony was a great person, husband, Father and friend.  I personally will miss his high-pitched greeting "Scutchie" no matter where we were or who was there ---long story behind "Scutchie"!  I will never forget his stories of Lake Carmi and his fishing trips with his precious family.  Our Fathers were great fishermen--so were we.  I can't remember a time that Tony and I ever went fishing without catching a bucketful, or at least that was our story.
I shall never forget Tony as my assistant basketball coach.  Poor Ashley endured having not one but two coaches!  Unlike her fellow players, she ended up having double practices!  How proud he was of his children.  We will miss Tony dearly, but he will never be forgotten.  Good friends forever.... Steve and Kathy Brooks.

Sally Senneville (Ticonderoga, NY) December 14, 2008
My heart goes out to all of you.  I will miss him.  He was a great friend and a very good dedicated fellow worker at Goodrich.  We share the same day for our birthdays.  I would e-mail him happy birthday on our special day.  IF you needed help on a PWB, just ask Tony and he would help you, no questions asked.  He would make a special point when he called the Print Room, in a high pitched voice, he would ask again is this the Print Room, and I would say yes it is, and he would say this is Tony.  Then we would laugh.  Then ask me for some help.

Wayne Ells (St. Petersburg, FL) December 15, 2008
My heart goes out to Wendy, Ashley, Jake and all of Tony's many friends and family.  He was always such a bright spot in an otherwise dull world and I have been blessed to consider him a friend for more than thirty years.  He will be sorely missed and has been taken from this world way too soon.  Wayne Ells

Sheri and Fred Lichtenfels (Waltham, VT)  December 15, 2008

Sharon Dolloff (Bristol, VT)  December 15, 2008
I will miss Tony, he never met you in the hall without giving you a huge smile and a friendly hello.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Greg Betit (Crown Point, NY)  December 15, 2008
Tony always had something humorous to say to you when he met you; ever day, every time.  You never wondered what Tony really thought; his comments were incisive, truthful and flavored with that special Ringer eye-twinkly irony.  Even when going through the tough times he was upbeat and smiling.  His courage is an inspiration for all of us.

Bettie Cassidy (Addison, VT)  December 15, 2008

I never worked directly with Tony, but sat in the same row for a short time and it certainly was never dull.  Tony's great sense of humor was infectious and his smile not only made you smile back on the outside, but on the inside as well.  Tony really was one of those honest, nice guys.  I am saddened to hear of his passing, and I extend my condolences to his family as well.  Ashley - I only pass you in the hall rarely, but I can see that you have his infectious smile and the same deep kindness within you as well.  A part of him will always be with you.  You are all in my thoughts.

Jerry Russell and Family (South Burlington, VT) December 15, 2008

To the Ringer Family and Extended Family members:
My deepest sympathies on your recent loss.  It is very difficult, but thankfully Jesus heals wounds and do know one day, Tony will greet you all at the gates.  May God Bless you and ease your burdens through this rough time.  Peace, Love and Joy to you all.

Ray Yandow (Ferrisburgh, VT)  December 16, 2008
The great loss we all feel at Tony's passing was reflected at the service today, and the large number of family, friends and co-workers showed just how much he will be missed and the impact he had on so many people in the community.  I will miss him greatly at work, but even more every day not passing him driving around the block in his beloved van.  He was a great guy and taken from us way too soon, and my love goes out to Wendy, Ashley and Jake, and everyone else Tony touched and mooned in the town he loved so much.

Carol Aube-Hinsdale (Chiang Mai, Thailand)  December 16, 2008
I was so deeply saddened by the news that I just heard today.  Tony was a lifelong friend and buddy.  He always had a way of making everyone around him laugh.  He will not be forgotten.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Ringer family at this time of great sorrow.

Essex Family (W. Ferrisburgh, VT)  December 17, 2008
To Wendy, Ashley, Jake: As we think of Tony today, we remember the great times upstairs.  He was our "supervisor" on our building project.  Tim will remember every time he looks at the trim on the windows and the "great island that (poop stink) sits at every night".  The plumbing headaches you and David had.  Thank you and we will miss you.  Love from your family.

Ed Wright (Vergennes, VT) December 17, 2008
My sympathy goes out to the entire Ringer family.  I grew up across the street from Tony and we sure had a lot of fun (with a lot of nothing-not like today).  Last time I spoke to Tony he still had that great laugh of his.  Vergennes will never be the same Tony!  Your friend, Ed Wright.

Susie (Duany) and Bill Butlet (Helena, MT)  December 18, 2008
Sorry to hear about your family's loss.  Tony will always be remembered for his fun loving way in high school and at VTC.  Remember the good times and cherish the memories.

Wendy Ringer (Vergennes, VT)  December 19, 2008
It has been a comfort to our family to know so many of you share in our grief, that you recognize the heart of gold under Tony's playful exterior.  He displayed an amazing courage throughout his illness, despite his pain and discomfort there was no self-pity or anger only a steadfast determination to make the most of the time he had left.  He was a doting father and a great husband and friend, who never forgot how to have fun!  Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and kind words.  Wendy, Jake, Ashley and Damon.

Joyce Commo (Providence Forge, VA)  December 20, 2008
Wendy and family we are so sorry for your loss.  Tony was a great guy always spoke and was happy to see you.  I remember when they use to go fishing down at the creek and walking by our house always showed us what they caught.  He will be greatly missed.  Joyce and Al Commo
